Bill's Suet Recipe:
3 cups corn meal
1 cup whole-wheat flour
Enough lard* to make the mixture “workable”
If you wish, you can add:
Peanut Butter
Wild bird seedBasically, the recipe is 3 parts corn meal to 1 part whole-wheat flour, adding enough lard to make the mixture manageable. You can make a bigger batch at will. Be careful not to add too much wheat flour. The suet becomes too dense if you do so.
*Note: Do not use Crisco, use only lard or beef suet
